Client Journey
Getting your own 1300 Number from Simple Telecom is as simple and easy as possible. There are a few steps to the process, however it should only take you 5 minutes to get it done.
- Choose your number type — Decide on the type of number you want (new, port, or premium smart number).
- Select your plan — Plans start from $10 per month up to $99 per month if you are expecting serious call volumes.
- Set your answer point — Input where you want the 1300 number to connect to. Most typically this is your mobile phone. You can change this in real-time at any time in the future.

If any red flags pop up, the process may take a little longer. But 99.9% of the time, your new service will be ready for you to test quickly.
Why Simple Telecom for Cheap 1300 Numbers
Have you ever gone shopping for a plant at Bunnings versus shopping at a local nursery? How easy did you find someone to help you with your purchase at each place?
In this analogy, Simple Telecom is your local nursery. We don't carry the full range of products like the ASX listed telcos, but we do carry a specific range of products and do them very well. Our staff are absolute experts, and because of our narrow focus, we are able to offer an amazing product at a dirt cheap price.
The feedback we get more than any other is the appreciation of talking to a problem solver first go when calling in with a support request. Even though we prefer email-based support requests (as they are less disruptive to business workflow), customers love that they often speak with David directly, and he is able to solve whatever the issue may be on the spot.
We are more than willing to work with customers for custom pricing if their usage requirements don't fit into one of the off-the-shelf plans. We have also been known to beat the competition's pricing where necessary.
How Does Pricing Work?
The pricing is broken into three main pieces:
- The monthly fee — Your minimum monthly charge.
- The per-minute rate for landing to a fixed line
- The per-minute rate for landing to a mobile
Extra bits may include a dollar amount of credit included (offset against the per-minute rates) and/or included minutes for fixed, mobile, or both.
If you get no calls, there are no call charges. The pricing is listed per minute but is actually billed per second to offer the best and cheapest 1300 numbers possible. If there are any included minutes or dollar value credits, these will be added back to your account each day until exhausted.
There are no contracts on standard 1300 numbers — just a month-by-month ongoing arrangement which requires 30 days notice to cancel. You will be charged in advance for the monthly fees.

Simple Telecom is run by local Aussies
Simple Telecom was founded by David Thomas, a local Australian guy. At the time, David was only 21 years old and found himself in a unique position. Not having any idea what he was really doing, he was encouraged by his former boss to start up a Telco. With the brand name "Digital Network Innovations", David launched the business and started attracting new customers through Google Adwords, which at the time only cost a few cents per click.
Fast forward a few years, the company rebranded to Simple Telecom due to the consistent feedback from customers about the simplicity of the product set and David's ability to communicate and setup business 1300 numbers for customers.
This became a core value of Simple Telecom: to take complex products and make them easy for the average business owner to understand, utilise and maximise. This is evident through the simplicity of our plans and ease of ongoing business. Our plans only have a few moving parts as compared to the full swag of pricing intricacies you will experience elsewhere.
