From voice to an event
A caller speaks naturally after the recorded prompt. Processing produces a transcript and links it to the call record. A message-ready event can then notify the receiving workflow, which decides whether to create a lead, ticket or task.
Why webhooks and APIs work together
The webhook should carry a unique event ID, timestamp, event type and signature. The receiver can then use the API to retrieve the current record. This pattern keeps notifications small and makes reconciliation possible after a temporary failure.
Where MCP fits
MCP can make a small set of authorised actions available to compatible AI clients, such as listing new messages or retrieving one transcript. The final tool catalogue, permission boundaries and audit model must be specified during the platform build.
Keep humans in consequential decisions
Automation can suggest categories and urgency, but it may misread speech or infer more than the caller said. Workflows should preserve the original transcript and audio, flag uncertainty and require human review before quotes, safety actions or other high-impact outcomes.
